About Me
If you're wondering about me, and what drew me to jewelry design, it was mother and child birthstone jewelry. I had been looking for years for jewelry with our children's birthstones. Everything was either very cheap and low quality, or incredibly expensive. I was looking for something beautiful, high quality, yet not too pricey. It seemed impossible. One evening, while looking at some handmade jewelry, I came to the conclusion that the only way to get what I wanted was to make it myself. So I did. This led rather rapidly to taking jewelry making and design classes with a local designer, so I knew how to do it right. After this point I was making jewelry for myself and family members only. Then the special requests started coming in. That was several years ago. Many said I should go into business. I knew this would be good, since whenever I looked at a gemstone, immediately a design would come to mind. Also, I enjoy it so much that I would keep making jewelry and learning new techniques if I never made another sale in my life. I am in the enviable position of being paid to play. Not long after launching the business, many asked me for a website. Here it is. As to my background, before children I was a cosmetic chemist, working with colors and fragrances (I got paid to play then, too). I was also trained as a classical violinist, and currently play the violin in the Livingston Symphony Orchestra. Utilizing all the senses, the arts have always been a part of my life.
