Handmade Gemstone Bracelet Styles
A handmade gemstone bracelet is so fun to wear. Both the woman who wears it and those around her can enjoy the unique qualities and characteristics of gemstones. I truly enjoy working with gemstones and make a point of using A grade or higher, obtained from honest sources. If any gemstones have been enhanced, you'll see for yourself in the description. In addition, you will find brief summaries of how to care for your handmade gemstone bracelet...After all, if you clean a gemstone the wrong way once, you could be in for some unpleasant surprises. (Let's avoid that!) All bracelets are a standard 7½ inches long, and I will gladly alter the length if needed. The bracelets, as well as all that you see on this website, are available both online and at Chester Crafts in Chester, NJ 908-879-2900.

Amethyst CareAmethyst is a hard stone and is easy to care for. Be sure to store your amethyst bracelet out of direct sunlight, since the color may fade. If this happens, go to the amethyst care page to learn a convenient way to restore the color.
To polish the sterling, use a liquid silver polish. |
SIDEBAR: BALI SILVERBali silver is not sterling silver. Sterling silver is 92.5% silver, and 7.5% something else (usually copper). Bali silver is very close to pure silver, being over 99% silver. And yes, Bali silver is made in Bali. |
Onyx Bracelet with Sterling Links Perfect for winter!
Click photo to enlarge. A new window will open. $23.00 | Black onyx is surrounded by solid sterling links, making a bracelet that drapes beautifully on the wrist. The bracelet is completed with a solid sterling silver clasp.
Onyx is a variety of agate. Nearly all onyx on the market is made uniformly black by a treatment of sugar and acid. This has been done for thousands of years, and is water safe. I suspect the onyx in this bracelet has been similarly treated.
Onyx Care| Onyx requires little care...it is a hard and durable stone. To polish the sterling in the bracelet, use a liquid silver polish. |
Freshwater Pearl Bracelet with Sterling Silver

The nacre on these pearls is close to perfect.
Pearl Care| Pearls are like roses...they're very beautiful, but they need a bit more attention. Rather than put all the information here, go to the pearl care page for how to store and care for pearls. |
Turquoise Bracelet with Bali Silver
Click photo to enlarge. A new window will open. $37.00 | The beautiful blue turquoise in this bracelet comes from the Pino Chueco ("Crooked Pine") mine in Mexico. Like all turquoise on the market, this is stabilized to preserve the color and to protect the stone. Unlike much turquoise on the market, however, this turquoise is not dyed. The Bali silver beads are solid silver, and the clasp is solid sterling.
